Spring is in the air, and the Garden of the Sleeping Angels spring plant sale is in the works! For many, plants and flowers symbolize healing and regrowth after a period of loss or “winter.” What better way to have a visual reminder of your baby or loved one’s legacy in your heart, right in the comfort of your own home? It’s almost like bringing a little bit of the Gardens right to you. In addition, your contribution to these events helps provide our nonprofit organization with valuable funds for family support and garden maintenance. This year there will be two choices for purchasing plants: either the Gertens Garden Center fundraiser or our own June GSA Plant Sale.
By ordering online through the Gertens fundraiser, you can pick from a lovely, curated selection of plants and flowers, and GSA receives 30% of the profits from Gertens and 15% of gift card purchases! Your selections will be delivered to GSA for pick-up on May 17th after 1pm (text Nancy at 612-986-3737 to coordinate). You may otherwise pick up your selections on June 1st-2nd at the Gardens for our Annual Plant Sale. To order, visit the Gertens fundraising website at www.gertensfundraising.com and enter Store ID 768 with seller name “Garden of the Sleeping Angels.” All Gertens orders must be placed by Monday, April 1st at 10pm! The site will close at this time and orders will no longer be accepted. Place your orders early for the best selection.
Our second option for receiving plants this year is attending our on-site Spring Plant Sale at GSA. You may visit the Gardens on Saturday, June 1st or Sunday, June 2nd between 10am-4pm to choose from a variety of designed planters and perennials available for purchase. You can find our homestead at 3405 6th Avenue North in Long Lake, MN. For additional questions, contact Nancy at 612-986-3737 or submit a comment on the Garden of the Sleeping Angels website (gardenofthesleepingangels.com/contact).
Are you wondering if this fundraising event is for you? Perhaps you are someone who has personally experienced the loss of an infant or child; or perhaps you are a family member or friend looking for a way to support someone through their loss. Dedicate a plant or flower to say, “Your child is remembered and loved.” What a beautiful opportunity to spread healing and kindness! When coming to GSA to pick up your selections, there will be an option for you to fill out a small personalized card if gifting your plant to someone else.
We look forward to celebrating the renewal of spring and honoring the memory of your loved ones in this beautiful way! On behalf of the families we support and their children who are remembered forever, we thank you tremendously for your generosity.
Sincerely,
The team at Garden of the Sleeping Angels
